FaveIt ("we", "our", "the app") is a link-saving app for iOS. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Data We Collect

• Account information: Email address and name (provided via email sign-up or Apple Sign In). Apple Sign In users may choose to hide their email address.
• Content you save: URLs, titles, descriptions, thumbnails, folders, tags, and notes you create in the app.
• AI-generated data: Embeddings (numerical representations of your saved links) used to power semantic search. These are generated from link metadata, not from your browsing activity.

Data We Do Not Collect

• We do not track your browsing history or activity outside the app.
• We do not collect device identifiers for advertising.
• We do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing.
• We do not use analytics or tracking SDKs.

How We Use Your Data

• To provide the service: Storing and organizing your saved links, generating search embeddings, and delivering AI-powered suggestions.
• To enable sharing: If you share a folder, invited users can see the folder name and its contents.
• To process payments: Subscription status is managed through Apple's In-App Purchase system and RevenueCat. We store your subscription tier but not payment details.
• To send emails: Folder sharing invitations are sent via Resend. We do not send marketing emails.

Third-Party Services

• Supabase: Database and authentication. Data stored in Supabase's cloud infrastructure.
• OpenAI: Generates embeddings from link metadata for semantic search (Pro feature). Link metadata is sent to OpenAI's API; no personal data is included.
• Anthropic: Provides AI-powered folder and tag suggestions (Pro feature). Link metadata is sent to Anthropic's API; no personal data is included.
• RevenueCat: Manages subscription status. Receives your anonymous app user ID and subscription events from Apple.
• Resend: Sends folder sharing invitation emails.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in Supabase's cloud infrastructure with row-level security policies ensuring you can only access your own data. Authentication tokens are stored securely in the iOS Keychain.

Data Retention and Deletion

Your data is retained as long as your account exists. Deleted links are moved to trash and permanently removed after 30 days. You can request full account deletion by contacting us at the email below. Upon deletion, all your data — including saved links, folders, tags, and AI-generated data — will be permanently removed.

Children's Privacy

FaveIt is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
